Learning and development

This is an all-age sub-board. The aim of this group is to provide high quality, inter-agency, safeguarding training to the Trafford workforce. This ensures that practitioners and volunteers are confident in their roles and skilled in working with children and families.

Its current objectives are:

  • The development of a Workforce Development strategy for practitioners who work with children, young people and adults. 
  • To oversee analysis of learning needs.
  • To seek assurance that all learning and development offered by TSSP is of a consistently high standard, and in line with all relevant legislation, statutory guidance and local policy.
  • To ensure that the learning is embedded within practice from Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews, Safeguarding Adult Reviews, Domestic Homicide Reviews and Learning and Improvement Reviews across the partnership.
