Trafford iCAN Alert - HSBC Scam texts
Bogus text messages are being sent from someone who claimed to be from Halifax HSBC saying a new device has been successfully linked to your account and that if this was not you, to click on a link in the text.
THIS IS A SCAM - NEVER CLICK ON LINKS IN TEXTS OR EMAILS WHICH ARRIVE OUT OF THE BLUE.
Do not access the site or provide any information. You should only log on to your accounts via HSBC direct. If you’ve fallen victim to this scam, contact your bank using the number on the back of your card. Please share this information with friends, family and neighbours.
