Members are warned that scam emails purporting to be from DPD are doing the rounds again.
With more and more of us relying on online shopping and home deliveries, scammers have taken advantage and are sending out emails which look as though they are from the courier company, DPD. The subject of the email is "YOUR PARCEL IS ON HOLD". The email then goes on to say that they have been unable to deliver a parcel to you due to incomplete address details. The email then asks you to click on a link to complete delivery details or rearrange delivery.
Look carefully at the email address this message has come from - it is usually a personal email and NOT DPD. This is a SCAM.
Trading Standards advice is never to click on links or open attachments on unsolicited emails. Find contact details for the company and check with them rather than respond to emails such as this. Please take a moment and look carefully at the email. Please share this information with friends, relatives and neighbours as well as social media
